Are you Licensed and Insured? Yes, our mobile kitchen is licensed by the Henry County Health Department, and fully insured. We hold a Food Operators License. We proudly display our Serv Safe certificate.
Do you do graduation parties? We certainly do! We also do Corporate events, fund raisers, Confirmations, Anniversary and Birthday Parties. Post wedding parties well. Chef Anita will put together customized menus for you also. Ask about our custom trays available for pick up or delivery!
Do you do tastings?
Yes, we usually do tastings on Tuesday & Wednesday's and occasionally on Sunday. If none of these days are convenient for you, just let us know and we will attempt to accommodate you. We suggest you look at all of our menu options and get a good idea what you would like your menu to be for your event and out of the items you decided on let us know which ones you'd like to try. Some things are basic and you would already have a good idea what they taste like.......example: corn, tossed salad, etc. We suggest you at least try your main entrée /entrees. We ask that you provide your items at min. 2 weeks prior to your tasting. There is a fee associated with the tasting. If you decide to book with us, that fee, will be deducted off your final bill. Fee is determined by number of items being tasted.
What is included with your pricing? Our prices include preparing your meal, delivery , set up and servers for the buffet line.. General two hours is sufficient time for your buffet to be set out. We will then remove our table coverings and equipment and clean the area we have used, As stated on our menus, there is an additional fee of 18% per event.
Do you accept credit cards? Yes, we accept MasterCard, Visa & Amercan Express. There is a 4% fee for credit card use however.
Is your food prepared on our premise? Yes! That is what makes Expressions Catering unique. We bring our kitchen to you!
Can I change my order once it is placed? Yes, you may change your order as long as we have not ordered anything from our suppliers for your event, generally up to three weeks prior to your event.
What type of tableware do you provide? We provide high quality disposable ware, however if you desire “china” we can recommend a rental service in the area that can help with that. Under our Vendor Dropdown, we have provided a small list there.
If we rent china instead of using the disposable plates you include in your packages can you wash them and re-crate them for us? Yes, we would be happy to. There is a $2 per person charge that would apply for that service since we will be bringing more staff to the event. We will also deduct from your bill what we would of paid to purchase the disposable products.
Can you provide servers for a formal meal? Yes, however, there is an added charge. $10.00 /per person, with 3 hours min. We will bring staff with us to service your buffet, at no added charge. Our servers do no clear tables or empty trash. Generally your venue has a service for that..
How much of a down payment do you need and when do you need it? Yes, we do require a down payment, when you sign your contract to save your date. . We recommend getting your deposit down as soon as possible to hold your date. We will call you 3 weeks before your event and get your final count and any menu changes. Your payment will be due in full 2 weeks before your event. I do offer a 5% discount off your total bill if paid in full at that 3 week time period. This discount applies to the food portion only of your bill not extra services like cake cutting fees, etc.
When should I book my event? We would suggest ASAP, however every situation is different. Some situations such as funeral dinners are unexpected and we are happy to accommodate you. As a rule of thumb, weddings and rehearsal dinners are booked one to two years in advance, but we will do our best to accommodate last minute bookings. Again, please reserve your date with your deposit to hold your date! Payment arrangements may be made.
When do you set up? If you are in your hall decorating the day before, we will come in and do our table coverings and set chafers; otherwise we will need at least 3 hours prior to your event to set up. Some venues will require more set up time.
Do you do cakes? Not at this time,however we can give you a list of cake decorators in the area.
Do you cut wedding cakes? Yes, we can cut your wedding cake for you. There is a $25 fee for that service per every 50 guests. You provide your knife set, plates , additional forks and napkins. Ask you cake decorator to provide the appropriate box for your cake top, and containers for any items that need returned. They will be left with your representative or person of contact.
Can we buy our own plates and napkins to match our colors? Yes, a lot of people choose to do that. We will deduct from your bill what we would have paid to purchase those products.
Can you find us a hall to accommodate our needs? Yes, we have several to choose from, but do have some personal favorites.. just ask.
What do you do with the leftovers? We will box them and cover them for you to take home. If you are getting married and have guests from out of town staying with you or are opening gifts the next day, leftovers are perfect!
Will you travel and how far? Yes, we would be happy to travel as far as you need us to. This is a huge benefit of having the "mobile kitchen"! If we need to travel more than 3 hrs.. away, overnight expenses will apply. We may or may not use your venue's licensed kitchen to better help the flow of service.
